1. University Research Committee
The University Research Committee (URC) acts as an advisory body to the DR to improve the research environment at Dhofar University. Comprised of representatives from each College and the Centre for Preparatory Studies, the URC’s main responsibilities include guiding the Strategic Research Plan, reviewing research policies, approving internal grants and ethics applications, and evaluating research collaborations.

2. University Research Ethics & Biosafety Committee (UREBC)
Dhofar University has a strong commitment to maintain high ethical standards in all spheres and the domain of research in particular. Research activities have to take into account the various factors including but not limited to plagiarism, environment and biosafety. To ensure compliance, DU has a research ethics & biosafety committee that is chaired by the Chair of the University Research Committee and the members are the Chairs of the respective College Research Committee from each of the College and the CPS. Additional member can be invited with expertise in the relevant disciplines when and where required.
